Washington, DC
I was in Washington, DC this past week on business and had the opportunity to see most of the historic sites while I was down there. Of all the places I have ever had the privilege of visiting I have never been to Washington, DC before so I was quite excited to see everything up close. The thought did cross my mind...maybe I would bump into Mr. President himself! Or the First Lady!? Alas, I did not see them...the closest I came to a run in with fame was when the nightly news announced that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in town; he for a meeting with some secretary about Huricane Katrina recovery efforts and she was taping a scene from an upcoming movie...so by my best guestimate I was about 15 blocks away from my brush with fame. Oh well, next time!

Make. Go. Get. Do. Be. See.
Yes. I believe in the alternatives. I believe in herbs and teas and rubs that take what ails you away. I've been so busy lately I have forgotten about going back to the basics, focusing instead on the "quick fixes" that have quite literally gotten me nowhere.
I have quite literally "spent" myself by staying up way to late, waking up way to early, eating when I wasn't hungry and "treating" myself on too many undeserving occasions. I have felt overwhelmed and groggy, I have a cold that's decided to make my body it's permanent home and aches that have sprung up from no where.
So I am fumbling around on CNN.com today, catching up on the latest breaking stories and ran across a commentary on a blog/newsletter of sorts, that wasn't necessarily positive, and decided to check it out myself, without judgement.
The words quite literally jumped off the page, slapped me in the face and yelled "Hello!? Back to the basics! Remember me!? Herbs and teas and rubs that take what ails you away?"
Now I do have to mention one last caveat...the newsletter is written by a celebrity. I knew that before visiting the site and that's why I decided to read it "without judgement." Quite frankly, I think the newsletter is great and if this person has the means to share with me some tips, tricks and hidden jems I might not stumble across on my own then more power to her!
I hope you have the opportunity to check out this blog/newsletter and decide for yourself if you believe in the alternatives. I especially found the newsletter titled "spent" under "DO" especially informational.
Enjoy GOOP and "nourish your inner aspect."

The Snappers
My girlfriend Christina and her fellow "Snappers" have stumbled upon this great little space in Hopkins and have graciously allowed me to join them in opening up a Photo Co-Op! I am so excited for this new adventure! Yes, it is going to require some elbow grease, paint, spackle and a lot of love but I just know that all of our efforts and energies are going to come back to us ten-fold!
New contact emails, blogs and web sites are on their way!

Ted & Emily
I had the opportunity to meet a bunch of Dave's friends at Ted & Emily's wedding this Saturday. The wedding was at St. Hubert's in Chanhassen and the reception was at the Holiday Inn out by the Mall of America. Everyone was so nice and we had such a great time! I even ran into some people I knew from Stout! Small world!
