Ted & Emily

I had the opportunity to meet a bunch of Dave's friends at Ted & Emily's wedding this Saturday. The wedding was at St. Hubert's in Chanhassen and the reception was at the Holiday Inn out by the Mall of America. Everyone was so nice and we had such a great time! I even ran into some people I knew from Stout! Small world!

One, Two, Three

Little Miss Lola was spayed, had her duclaws removed, two molars pulled and a chip inserted between her shoulder blades last Friday. Needless to say it's been wonderful this week having her on meds! She's so lovey when she's doped up! The problem is that she pretty much chewed of her booties within two days of surgery...which let to an "emergency" trip to the local Walgreens for bandages so she would stop biting at her stitches...which she pulled out anyways...which led up the events that unfolded this evening.
Yes, we ended up in the pet emergency room after lola unsuccessfully tried to jump up on my bed, ripping open the duclaw wound that was trying to heal on her left back foot. Have you even seen a scary movie where the blood actually squirts out of a cut? This was the scene that was unfolding in my bedroom!! Before I could even think about passing out at the sight of the blood I had grabbed a wash cloth to cover the leg and was headed downstairs to call my sister for a ride.
One blue collar, two pink booties and three hours later and Lola ONCE AGAIN had the booties off!!! So much for our $160.00 ER VISIT!!
Anyone in the market for a Yochon? She's GOING FOR CHEAP!!!

Spa Day

Little Miss Lola enjoyed a spa day last week...well, ok...it was more like a trip to the groomer at PetSmart and I'm sure if she could she would tell you that she throughly hated every primping moment but she smells wonderful and looks adorable! Check out the before and after pictures!

Sensors

Sunday a rather large group of us headed to Joe Sensors in Bloomington for the Vikings game! It just so happened that Sunday was also Paul's 28th birthday! His Packers won but my Vikings weren't so lucky. Oh well...I was obviously too busy taking pictures to pay any attention to the Vikings!

The BIG 28

This past weekend was "Paul's Birthday Celebration Weekend Extravaganza!" Saturday night we ended up at the Prairie Pub and had a surprisingly fun time! Who would have guessed that the most ghetto bar in E.P (well, as ghetto as E.P can get) would be a blast!

Sunday

Addison Leigh was baptized on a beautiful, cool, sunny Sunday morning in August. Friends and family from near and far gathered for the baptism and continued the celebration with presents and cake. Congratulations Addison!

EMO

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect because I have only ever seen EMO via You Tube or for a brief moment on TV but I walked out of Acme Comedy Co. an EMO convert! I about fell off my seat laughing and will definitely go back to see him when he is in town again!

Mr. & Mrs. Matthies

It was a busy couple of days that started with rehearsal at one of the grandest mansions on Summit Avenue overlooking downtown St. Paul, Summit Manor. The festive ambiance, salad, margarita pizza, lasagna, carafe of red wine, overstuffed cheese manicotti, beer, garlic mashed potatoes, gellato and golf ball themed cake at Buca de Beppo was enjoyed by all at the Grooms Dinner. The bride, her bridesmaids and myself, the personal attendant, slept like princesses after our resling toast to the brides last single night in our overstuffed beds surrounded by the guilded glamour of the St. Paul Hotel. Between the egg sandwiches, applewood smoked bacon, peach bellinis, bowl of berries, banana caramel stuffed french toast and raspberry fizz at the M. St. cafe we really started the wedding day off on the right foot! After pining up our hair, putting on our faces and slipping into our dresses the bride and groom had their first look in the colorful St. Paul Hotel flower garden in front of a beautiful brick wall overflowing with ivy. A frenzy of photographs later the wedding party made their way to Summit Manor to join Alissa and Trevor's families for more portraits on the grand front porch of the mansion. One walk down the aisle and Alissa and Trevor were Mr. and Mrs. and I couldn't be happier for them!

July 4th

Not exactly a speedracer

When I went to watch Creig race the other weekend little did I know that I would be racing around the track myself! I thought Creig's dad was joking around when he asked if I would be able to stick around afterwards to get out on the track but he wasn't! Creig helped me get suited up with a jacket, helmet (in silver, my favorite color!) and neck brace. Then after a little seat adjusting we were off! I couldn't believe how bumpy the ride was compared to how smooth it looks when your watching a race. And yes, I got passed by Creig and his dad twice, but that's ok, I figure I will leave the racing career up to Creig!

And they're off!

So I drove to Cokato, Minnesota today to a place called Stockholm Motorsports Park. I had no clue what to expect and was I surprised! Creig owns a race car and keeps it in a garage at the park. The thing is fast and there isn't even a seat belt! While one race is going on the racers for the next race would move their cars into place, get on their gear and the next thing you know they're off! Headed down the hill into formation around the first two turns past the green flag and the race would begin! Creig didn't take home a trophy today but he won something much better, 4 new tires! Humm...he races car number 4 and he won 4 new tires?? I think someone needs to buy a lottery ticket!

Introducing Lola

Lola had her 11 week old pictures taken! My girlfriend Christina, sproutsphotography.com, did a fabulous job and provided the perfect backdrop, Tiffany's boxes! Lola and I both love, love LOVE the pictures! Thanks again Christina!
